Panattoni develops for Barsan Global Logistik in Nuremberg

Panattoni is working on a new construction for the international logistics provider Barsan Global Logistik GmbH in Nuremberg, Bavaria. Under a sale-leaseback model, the company, headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, sells its current premises and further expands its Nuremberg site by leasing the existing premises and a new one.

“We are implementing a complex construction and financing concept for Barsan Global Logistik. Once again, the sales and leaseback model of logistics premises that we offer at Panattoni has proven to be an attractive solution for companies on a dynamic and forward-looking development path ”, commented Fred- Markus Bohne, Managing Partner of Panattoni, on the expansion project.

The future building, which will consist of a mix of new and existing structures, is developed on a 30,600 m² plot and, when completed, will have three hall sections with a total logistics space of approx. 16,200 m², as well as 1,400 m² of office and social space and 600 m² of mezzanine space. The building will extend to a height of 10 m (to the bottom of the roof truss), with a max. floor load of 6 t / m². There will be a total of 74 parking spaces for cars and 22 spaces for trucks in the outer area. Work is scheduled to start at the end of 2021 and delivery is scheduled for October 2022.

In the future, new and existing buildings will represent approx. 8,200 m² of rental space in Barsan. A third hall with 8,200 m² of logistics space is being fitted out without a prior lease and remains available to potential tenants. The site is located in the industrial area of Schmalau in Nuremberg and a short walk from the federal A3 and A73 motorways, providing excellent connections in all four cardinal directions.

For the sake of sustainability, Panattoni is erecting charging stations for electric cars and building a cycle path to the site in consultation with the municipality of Fürth. Solar panels have already been installed on the existing building, and the new building will have DGNB Gold certification.

“With the expansion of our existing facility at our Nuremberg site, we are laying the groundwork for further growth in the region. We are delighted to have Panattoni as a partner, because they are flexible and know how to respond to our needs ”, explains Ali Ümit Celik, Managing Director of Barsan Global Logistik.

Colliers International Deutschland GmbH acted as broker.
